The Who Original Band owned Instrument Hohner Harmonica John Entwistle The Who
ORIGINAL BAND OWNED INSTRUMENT - THE WHO HARMONICA. This is John Entwistle's personal owned and used Premium quality Hohner harmonica. Boxed in it's original Hohner case. This classic polyphonia triple chord harmonica by Hohner was the personal and famous original stage used instrument, which belonged to the late bassist of THE WHO, John Entwistle. This is a quality professional band used musical instrument by world famous harmonica makers Hohner. Boxed in it's original case. John Entwistle used this harmonica extensively during his time as part of the band THE WHO and also in his home studio. The harmonica is in excellent condition with it's original storage carry box case. It is in full working order. The Who were formed in 1964 by Roger Daltrey (lead vocals), Pete Townshend (guitar, piano and backing vocals), John Entwistle (bass and backing vocals) and Keith Moon (drums). TheWho went on to sell over 100 million records and have charted 27 top forty singles in the United Kingdom and United States, as well as 17 top ten albums, with 18 Gold, 12 Platinum and 5 Multi-Platinum album awards in the United States alone. They originally disbanded in 1983, but reformed at events such as Live Aid in 1985 and for reunion tours such as their 25th anniversary tour (1989) and the Quadrophenia tours of 1996 and 1997. In 2000, the three surviving original members discussed recording an album of new material, but their plans temporarily stalled upon John Entwistle's sudden death at the age of 57 in 2002. Time magazine wrote in 1979 that "No other group has ever pushed rock so far, or asked so much from it." Rolling Stone magazine wrote: "Along with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, The Who complete the holy trinity of British rock." They received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the British Phonographic Industry in 1988, and from the Grammy Foundation in 2001, for creative contributions of outstanding artistic significance to the field of recording. Also included with this rare John Entwistle personally owned musical instrument Harmonica is a signed letter from Chris Entwistle (Jon Entwistle's son) authenticating the harmonica and explaining how it was used in John Entwisle's own studio up until his death in 2002. There are a selection of 6x4 colour photographs of The Who on stage showing John Entwistle using the harmonia. Also included with John Entwistle's Harmonica is original Rare and Signed full authentification and replacement insurance valuation at £6,000 - £8,000. We are currently inviting offers in the region of £4,000 on this piece. This is a very rare original band owned instrument from one of the most famous MUSIC BANDS of all time. This is a very rare set of original The Who signatures by hand from one of the most famous pop bands of all time - The Who. This is a world class collectors item, signed by The Who. A hard LP to find signed. Who's Next has been named one of the best albums of all time by VH1 (#13) and Rolling Stone (#28). Upon its release it was named the best album of the year in The Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics poll.It was also ranked #3 in Guitar World's Greatest Classic Rock Albums list. Many of its nine tracks are perennial favourites on classic rock radio, especially "Baba O'Riley", "Bargain", "Behind Blue Eyes", and the closing track "Won't Get Fooled Again". The album appeared at number 15 on Pitchfork Media's top 100 albums of the 1970s.[16] The album is also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. In 2006, the album was chosen by TIME Magazine as one of the 100 best albums of all time. In 2007 it was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame for "historical, artistic and significant" value. In 1999 it was the subject of a Classic Albums documentary produced by Eagle Rock Entertainment which has aired on VH1 and BBC among others entitled Classic Albums: The Who - Who's Next.
