This is a very rare set of original signatures by hand from perhaps the most famous musical couple of all time. The card is in excellent condition with no tears or folds. A superb SIGNED & DOODLED First Printing, hardback of this collectable book. SIGNED with an additional doodle by PAUL McCARTNEY at Waterstones Picadilly on 14th December 2005. INCLUDES BLUE WRISTBAND ISSUED TO THOSE ATTENDING SIGNING. This was the ex Beatle's only UK signing of the book and was a very exclusive limited event in London. On the signing day the allocated blue and yellow wristbands were handed out. The blues would definately meet Paul and receive a signed book but the yellows would get a signed book and only meet him if there was time. Security was amazing throughout the building. Police patrolled both outside and in. NOBODY was allowed to take anything into the signing and had to leave cameras, jackets, bags etc on a totally seperate floor and room ! Pockets were then checked to ensure nobody was sneaking anything in - harmful or otherwise ! Everybody was then moved to another floor and held there after buying the book. Books were limited to only one per person. At around 12:45 the doors opened and fans were ushered in to have Paul sign their books in groups of 20. After the first few signings, Paul decided that he wanted to sign all the books first so he could talk to people without having his head in a book signing it. The waterstones staff duly collected all the books and took them into Paul for signing. Following what seemed a huge delay whilst he did this, the doors reopede and we were all allowed in this time to collect a book and have a few words with him in person ! We were told several times this was a strictly timed event and they wanted everyone to get to meet him. Security also had everyone take hands out of pockets approaching Paul so there were no hidden weapons or surprises pulled on him ! "Anyone that goes to get anything out of their pocket will be removed from the store immediately". Paul was sat chatting to peole and eating a plate of toast and jam ! It was the most amazing book signing we have ever witnessed ! The book has been kept in protective wrapping ever since and has only ever been taken out to photograph once. It is in fine condition. An essential item for any Paul McCartney fan or Beatles-related memorabilia collector. Obtained in person on Wednesday 22nd of November 2006 at the public apperance of Paul McCartney at the Virgin Megastore in Picadilly, London. Paul was signing copies of his latest CD Ecce Cor Meum and his DVD The Space Within US. Signed items were limited to two per person, and no baggage or cameras etc were allowed. However when I explained to Paul that I had queued unsuccesfully last year to get a copy of High In The Clouds signed he duly obliged in signing this. Meeting Paul is very hard as public appearances are seldom and signings rarer still. The book itself is a true first edition with full number line. The dust jacket and book are unread and immaculate. The signture is in black marker pen. An ideal gift or investment for a young child! The book has been not been read. ORIGINAL PAUL MCCARTNEY/WINGS ACETATE. Very rare Abbey Road Studios double sided 7" original Wings / Paul McCartney acetate for the tracks 'Getting Closer' and 'Radio'. RADIO was later renamed 'Reception' and is used as the actual opening track on the Back To The Egg album. Bothe tracks were destine for the Wings album 'Back to the Egg'. This rare test acetate pressing is on an original Abbey Road psychedelic label with 3mins 21sec recording of Getting Closer on one side and 1mins 06sec recording entitled 'Radio' on the other. Both sides in Ex- condition. This comes from the private collection of a family member of Denny Laine. It is incredibly hard to come across rare acetates and studio pressings like this, let alone those related to the biggest bands in the world. This acetate is offered here direct from the most popular singer songwriter that ever lived, those founder of The Beatles Sir Paul McCartney. A very rare original Paul McCartney acetate test pressing. Getting Closer is an amazing track from the Wings album Back to the Egg. It was released in the US in June 1979 as the first single from the album and hit #20, then was released in the UK in August 1979 as the second single. The B-side here is a track entitked "RADIO" unreleased anywhere else, but later reworked and named "RECEPTION" then used as the opening track on the LP Back To The Egg". Back to the Egg is the ninth & final studio album by Wings and was released in 1979. It is also Wings' first album for Columbia Records after leaving long-time US distributor Capitol Records in 1978. When McCartney returned to international distribution by EMI in 1985, Back to the Egg and the rest of McCartney's Columbia-era releases moved to Capitol/EMI in the US. Incredble excellent condition. A truly stunning original Paul McCartney acetate test pressing as shown. An acetate disc (also known as a test acetate, dub plate, lacquer, or transcription disc) is a type of vinyl gramophone record. Acetates are typically produced from a master tape recording. By electroplating the acetate master, stampers (special moulds) can be created, which in turn can then be used to press large quantities of records. Acetates are also used for testing the quality of the tape-to-disc transfer. A typical acetate disc is an aluminum disc, 10 or 12 inches in diameter. This is a far far rarer 7" acetate master pressing. Discs of this type can be played on any normal vinyl record player.
