Kate Kray, the wife of killer Ronnie Kray, goes behind the high walls and steel bars of Britain's jails to talk with eight deadly criminals about their crimes. These are their stories. A very rare piece of THE KRAYS with 100% guaranteed provenance. Reginald "Reggie" Kray (24 October 1933 - 1 October 2000) and his twin brother Ronald "Ronnie" Kray (24 October 1933 - 17 March 1995) were the foremost perpetrators of organised crime in London's East End during the 1950s and 1960s. Ronald, commonly referred to as Ron or Ronnie, most likely suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. The Krays were involved in armed robberies, arson, protection rackets, violent assaults including torture and the murders of Jack "The Hat" McVitie and George Cornell. As West End nightclub owners, they mixed with prominent entertainers including Diana Dors, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and politicians. The Krays were highly feared within their social environment, and in the 1960s they became celebrities in their own right, being photographed by David Bailey and interviewed on television. They were arrested on 9 May 1968 and convicted in 1969 by the efforts of a squad of detectives led by Detective Superintendent Leonard "Nipper" Read, and were both sentenced to life imprisonment. Ronnie remained in Broadmoor Hospital until his death on 17 March 1995, but Reggie was released from prison on compassionate grounds in August 2000, eight weeks before his death in October from cancer. Laurel & Hardy SIGNED PROMOTIONAL PHOTOGRAPH

A beautiful original signed photograph from Laurel and Hardy. Signed in person May 1947, whilst appearing at the Liverpool Empire. Laurel & Hardy came to Liverpool on all three of their post-war stage tours. The first time was w/c 19 May 1947, when they packed out the Liverpool Empire at each and every show, with hundreds more being turned away. They returned in 1952, w/c 19 May, but all the exhuberance of the first visit was absent, and they scarcely made the newspapers. On the third visit, w/c 26 October 1953, Laurel & Hardy were even more poorly received, and were described in reviews as being "dated." They stayed at the Aldelphi Hotel, in Lime Street, on each occasion. This photograph was signed by both Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy on their very first visit to Liverpool. Stan also inscribed the photo "To Ted!" Ted (Gould) worked as stage manager at the Liverpool Empire when Laurel & Hardy performed in 1947 and this is when the photograph and signatures were obtained. The photograph is also accompanied by a small selection of fan club newsletters and letters relating to the photograph several years ago. The visit of Laurel & Hardy to the UK was a major event. The description, "Everywhere they went they were mobbed by thousands of screaming, adoring fans" might make one think that the subjects of this book are four mop haired singers from Liverpool, but one would be wrong: for the scenes predate by some thirty years the mob hysteria that came to be known as "Beatlemania," and were caused by the appearances of a skinny little English comedian and a rather large American actor who, together, became the funniest comedy duo of all time. This is an incredibly rare SIGNED presentation. This is a stunning original 1947 photo postcard which has been signed in black pens by both Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy (Laurel & Hardy). HAND SIGNED by the legendary Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy (Laurel & Hardy). A beautiful and clear genuine pair of signatures on one iconic photograph AUTOGRAPHED. Here is a wonderful original collection of drawings and paintings from the family of Louis Wain. This album dates to 1896 and the very earliest part Louis Wain's career. This Louis Wain family collection of original drawings comprises of a wonderful collection of 18 original watercolours, drawings and sketches, many accompanied by verses from the family and close associates of Louis Wain. Also included is a most beautiful large original pencil illustration by LOUIS WAIN of a cat. PLEASE REQUEST FURTHER IMAGES O VIEW THIS ALBUM OF ORIGINAL ART WORK THOROUGHLY. Further illustrations include an original watercolour of faires by Louis Wain' sister, Felice Wain. A truly spectacular collection from the Louis Wain family. 1896. A quality collection of original hand illustrations and verse from perhaps the most famous illustrator of this period. ORIGINAL DRAWINGS ILLUSTRATIONS HAND DRAWN ORIGINAL LOUIS WAIN CAT and 18 watercolours, illustrations, drawings, sketches, water colour fairies including his sister Felice Wain. Authenticated by London auction house Bloomsbury Auctions and also accompanied by a full insurance certificate to the value of £15,000. Approx Size of album: 185 x 235 mm. Original 1800s embossed cloth album with rubbing to extremities, though overall excellent condition and superb quality contents. A world class investment. All serious enquires considered. Louis Wain (5 August 1860 - 4 July 1939) was an English artist best known for his drawings, which consistently featured anthropomorphised large-eyed cats and kittens. In his later years he suffered from schizophrenia, which, according to some psychologists, can be seen in his works. H. G. Wells said of him, "He has made the cat his own. He invented a cat style, a cat society, a whole cat world. English cats that do not look and live like Louis Wain cats are ashamed of themselves." Louis Wain original work is now highly collectible. Here we we have a superb collection with 100% original authenticity. In 1886, Louis Wain's first drawing of anthropomorphised cats was published in the Christmas issue of the Illustrated London News, titled A Kittens' Christmas Party. Louis Wain's illustrations showed cats playing musical instruments, serving tea, playing cards, fishing, smoking, and enjoying a night at the opera. Such anthropomorphic portrayals of animals were very popular in Victorian England, and were often found in prints, on greeting cards and in satirical illustrations such as those of John Tenniel. Louis Wain was involved with several animal charities, including the Governing Council of Our Dumb Friends League, the Society for the Protection of Cats, and the Anti-Vivisection Society. Louis Wain travelled to New York in 1907, where he drew some comic strips, such as Cats About Town and Grimalkin, for Hearst newspapers. His work was widely admired, although his critical attitude toward the city made him the subject of sniping in the press. Without question one of the greatest artist who ever lived, here is a wonderful selection of original Louis Wain illustrations from himself and his family.
